According to the environmental findings statement, home construction is expected to start in 2019 and be done by around 2025, depending on market conditions.
The complex will have 69 condominium buildings and two 28,000-square-foot buildings for shul and mosdos.
Construction is expected to take place in two phases, with 800 units in each.
Vayoel Moshe Gardens will occupy 70 acres of recently cleared land across Nininger Road from the state police Monroe barracks and separated from the rest of Kiryas Joel by County Route 105.
For years, that land had remained an untouched promontory of Kiryas Joel as new housing spread across much of the village and available building space grew scarce.
The longtime owner finally decided to cash in on the property last year, and the resulting building plans cleared the Planning Board review in exactly one year.
