Activists Demand Halt of Arm Sales to Honduras

JERUSALEM – In the wake of Honduras election and the unrest that has led to 14 civilian deaths, a group of Israeli activists have sent a letter to the IDF demanding that Israel halt its arms export to Honduras.

Typically, Israel does not publicize its arms deals and keeps the information highly classified. However, Honduras has previously disclosed that it had a $209 million arm deal last year that included communications equipment and surveillance drones for the army and cyber security systems for Honduras’ intelligence service.
The IDF has not issued a response.
