40,000 Acres Destroyed in Raging California Wildfire


Southern California is suffering from yet another out-of-control fire that erupted Monday night and has already burned more than 40,000 acres and caused the evacuation of more than 27,000 people. . The raging fire, burning just  60 miles north of Los Angeles, broke out in Santa Paula in Ventura County. Strong winds and low humidity have made this fire “unstoppable”. Entire apartment complexes, a psychiatric hospital and over 150 structures and homes have been lost to the fire. No deaths have been reported, although one firefighter was moderately injured.
